The undergrounds and the film tour
After you’ll have passed the entrance ramp, you dive into the mysterious undergrounds.
The discovering tour is punctuated with the scenes of the movie “The besieged Fortress”. This film adventure, which was free inspired by the story of the siege of Bitche in 1870, invites you to meet the principal characters of this eventful historical page. With an individual headphone, that mixes sensational sound effects to the dialogs, enjoy History in all its dimensions!

The top plateau: Museums and panoramic-tour
The restored chapel contains the original Reliefplan of Bitche. This 3D model from 1794 presents the fortress in its environment at the end of the 18 Century. Interactive screens lead you to a surprising trip into the past and history.
The museum “Men in War of 1870” proposes you a realistic overview of this conflict with pictures from the archives and letters of soldiers. On the top plateau, don’t miss the 13 stations of the architectural tour and admire the wonderful panorama to the North-Vosges-Mountains.
