Guided tour of the fortifications of Vauban
Throughout the tourist season, on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays and public holidays, you can join a tour of the fortifications of Longwy-Haut and follow in the tracks of Vauban, the celebrated military engineer.
Booking required, except Sundays and public holidays.
Tariffs: €3/person. €2/ ‘tarif ambassadeur’ (Pass Lorraine). Free for under-12s and members. The tour will be conducted on the basis of 4 persons having booked.
Times: Depart at 15:00 from the Puits de Siège on Wednesdays and Fridays, and at 14:30 on Sundays and public holidays.
In search of Vauban, a fun guided tour for children
On the programme: the Porte de France and its advanced post, the Puits de Siège or Siege well, the cross-shaped casemate of the bastion Notre-Dame, the powder magazine of the Bastion Saint-Martin and lots of other places… Guided free tour designed for children aged between 7 and 12 (parents welcome). The tour will be conducted on the basis of 4 persons having booked.
Times: the first Wednesday of each month, departing at 10:30 from the Puits de Siège. Booking advisable on 03 82 24 94 54.

Tariff for renting an audio-guide: €3 per half-day/ €6 per full day.
Rental at the tourist office of Pays de Longwy. It is also possible to rent an IPad. Tariff: €10 per half-day. A deposit will be requested.
